Lowell Nesbitt (American 1933-1993) was one of the most celebrated and noted artists for his floral works of art. His most well known series are the more than four hundred works he created using the flower as a theme. His paintings and drawings are in many museum collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Art. Nesbitt was born in Baltimore and graduated from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia.
